Our dream is to understand and promote regeneration within the entire central nervous system and to develop targeted repair strategies that restore specific neurological functions. Ultimately, our aim is to translate these discoveries into effective therapies that improve the quality of life for people living with spinal cord injury.
Dr. Mark A. Anderson, biträdande professor vid University of Lausanne (UNIL), har fått finansiering under 5 år för “Promobilia Chair in Spinal Cord Repair” från Stiftelsen Promobilia för sin banbrytande forskning om ryggmärgsreparation. Hans team utforskar innovativa metoder som kombinerar genterapi och neuroteknologi för att utveckla behandlingar som kan återställa funktion hos personer med ryggmärgsskador.
